What originally started more by coincidence has meanwhile become a real part of my creative work.
Over time, the collaboration with Gonso grew through trust, shared productions and a similar understanding of how to capture sport, movement and atmosphere.

In June 2025, we travelled to Tuscany to shoot the new SS2026 collection.
Five days somewhere in the countryside near Siena. Long roads, dust, heat, golden evening light and this special calmness the area carries naturally. After the first few kilometers it already felt like the only thing left to do was react to what was around us. The landscape itself brought so much atmosphere into every scene.
A huge shoutout goes to Martin Erd, who scouted the locations and had an incredible feeling for places that not only looked beautiful, but also felt right to ride and film in.
My role during the production was to capture content for different purposes — lookbook visuals, social media launches, ads and at the same time material for this edit.
What I enjoy most about productions like this is not only collecting beautiful images, but capturing a certain feeling. The small moments between the actual scenes. Wind noise. Exhaustion after a long climb. The first light in the morning. The situations you often only really appreciate afterwards
For the Director’s Cut, I intentionally chose a voiceover that feels more like an inner dialogue.
A thought that probably feels familiar to many people who spend time on a bike.
To me, it describes that feeling perfectly.
That slow quieting of your thoughts while riding. Just being outside. Collecting kilometers without constantly overthinking everything. Not every day feels the same, but maybe that’s exactly what makes it feel real.
Visually, I wanted to carry the same atmosphere throughout the film.
Not only focusing on the big moments, but also everything in between. Letting situations happen naturally and staying open to whatever unfolds along the way.
A few days earlier, another crew had already shot the MTB collection in Sölden, which allowed us to fully focus on Road and Gravel. That took a lot of pressure off the entire team and gave us the freedom to work in a very intuitive and focused way.
And personally, this shoot was special anyway.
Experiencing my first real Strade Bianche moments while being in the middle of a production is exactly the kind of experience that stays with you for a long time.
Thank you to Gonso for the trust and for giving me the freedom to bring my own perspective and style into projects like this.
